SAINTS SIMON & JUDE KIDS – Faith Formation Program

“Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. They bear witness to this responsibility first by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, fidelity, and disinterested service are the rule. The home is well suited for education in the virtues.”
Catechism of the Catholic Church # 2223

CLOW/ Tot Liturgy – Early Childhood/ Elementary Faith Formation (2 YEARS OLD – 5TH GRADE)

CLOW stands for Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Every other Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. mass children (1st grade to 5th grade) are called forward before the Scripture readings. They will be sent to the Franciscan Room for a Gospel Lesson. Children will return back to their families after the Creed, as the Offertory and Liturgy of the Eucharist begin. SAINTS SIMON & JUDE KIDS – Elementary Faith Formation (3 years old – 5TH GRADE)

Faith formation classes are designed to help your child grow in the love of Christ. The faith formation classes are a time for your child to learn about the Catholic faith in a nurturing and supportive environment. Through continuously developing a relationship with Christ, children learn to become lifelong disciples.

Classes are led by a faith-filled Catechist and are separated by grade level (Preschool through 5th grade). Classes meet once or twice a month on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. or Sundays from 10:30 a.m to 11:15 a.m. There are 13 in-person classes and 12 at-home lessons from October 8th running through May 15th. The number of classes per month is determined by major holidays and parish events. The at-home lessons are an integral part of the faith development of your child(ren) are easy to follow with links to readings, activities, and videos provided.
