Formational Opportunities

Faith Sharing / Scripture Discussion Groups

Faith Sharing and Scripture Discussion Groups help participants to share personal insights and experiences so that they can apply the Gospel in their own lives. Various groups meet regularly to discuss scripture passages for upcoming weekend liturgies or to engage in bible study. These groups also provide opportunities to connect with others on a deeper level. Some groups meet throughout the year. Other groups meet only during Advent and/or Lent. Each group decides where and when gatherings are held. Individuals may either start their own group or join with an existing group. Please contact the parish office for more information

Welcome Weekends

These retreat experiences are a way for adult parishioners to spend an extended time together delving deeper into their own Christ-centered faith journey and forming deeper friendships. Women’s and men’s retreats are typically held during Spring and Fall months. Information on the next retreat will be posted here and published in the parish bulletin.

Social Opportunities

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club is a parish organization open to all men, offering opportunities for service to the parish and greater community, scripture studies and social activities.

The Men’s Club regularly meets at the parish on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a speaker and a meal cooked by club members. Come meet other men of the parish and learn about opportunities for service and social events. Please see the parish bulletin for more details about upcoming events.

Quilt Guild

The parish Quilt Guild invites people to join their ministry to not only share and learn the craft of quilt making, but also as a means to share the gift of community with one another. The Guild works together to uplift others through their quilt donations and to assist other ministries by donating quilts to aid in fundraising endeavors. All are welcome to join this wonderful and caring ministry that provides warm comfort to those in need.

The Quilt Guild meets at the parish at 5:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month. No previous quilting experience is needed. Please see the bulletin for more information or email inquiries to ssj@ssj.org
