Dear Parishioners and Visitors,
In today’s Gospel, we hear of ten lepers who were healed by Jesus, yet only one, the Samaritan, returned to give thanks. His act of gratitude was not just good manners; it was a recognition of God’s mercy and love at work in his life. Jesus reminds us that true healing and salvation come when we recognize the source of our blessings and turn back to give glory to God.
As I reflect on my own experience this weekend at my first SSJ Fall Festival, it brought me great joy to see the SSJ community come together in faith, celebration, and service. The Fall Festival was more than just an event; it was a beautiful expression of our faith in action. Through the dedication, generosity, and joyful spirit of all our Festival Volunteers and the entire SSJ Community, we became witnesses of Christ’s love to everyone who came to celebrate with us.
Like the grateful leper, may we never forget to pause, return to the Lord, and say, “Thank you.” In our service, laughter, and fellowship, we have seen God’s goodness alive among us. Let us continue to be a community of gratitude, always ready to serve, to celebrate, and to give thanks to God for all He has done and continues to do. And may everything we do bring Him glory!
With Gratitude in Christ,
Lyssa Rollolazo
