The Eucharist: Source and Summit of Our Catholic Faith
The Eucharist is at the heart of our Catholic faith—it is both the source and the summit of our spiritual life. In this sacred sacrament, Jesus gives Himself to us as spiritual nourishment because of His immense love for us. Through the gift of the Eucharist, we are invited to become united with Christ. As He says in John 6:56, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”
The Privilege of the True Presence
We are blessed to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist during every Mass. It is truly a privilege to attend Mass, where we encounter Christ in the Word of God, in prayer, in music, and especially in the Holy Eucharist. As a community of believers, we come together to celebrate this powerful encounter with Christ, strengthening our bond with Him and one another.
May we never forget the profound gift we receive each time we partake in the Body and Blood of Christ.
You may receive Holy Communion at Mass which is offered:
- Monday-Saturday: 8:15 AM
- Saturday: 4:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:15 AM and 5:00 PM

Serving Our Parish Family: Bringing the Eucharist to You
At Saints Simon & Jude, we are committed to serving our parish family and ensuring that those who are unable to attend Mass due to illness or mobility challenges are still able to experience the Holy Eucharist and be part of our community.
If you are unable to attend Mass in person, we encourage you to join us via livestream.
Additionally, please don’t hesitate to contact the Parish Office to make arrangements for the Holy Eucharist to be brought to you.
We are here to support you, and we want to make sure that you continue to be spiritually nourished and connected to our parish family. Phone: (714) 962-3333 Email: [email protected]
Holy Communion augments our union with Christ. The principal fruit of receiving the Eucharist in Holy Communion is an intimate union with Christ Jesus. Indeed, the Lord said: “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.”

Preparing for First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist
At Saints Simon & Jude, we begin preparing baptized youth to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist as early as first grade. These sacraments are pivotal moments in their faith journey, and we are here to walk alongside them as they grow in their relationship with Christ.
Participation in Faith Formation for two years with their peer group is an essential part of this preparation. During this time, youth will learn about the graces that come through living a sacramental life, gaining a deeper understanding of God’s love and forgiveness.
Getting Started is Easy
Simply sign up for Faith Formation with your child’s peer group, and they will begin their journey toward receiving these beautiful sacraments. We look forward to accompanying your family in this sacred and life-changing experience!
