Adult Confirmation Journey: A Path to Full Christian Initiation
The Adult Confirmation journey is designed for adults who are active in their Catholic faith, have been baptized, and have received the Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist, but for various reasons, were unable to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Overview
Preparation for Adult Confirmation is a five-week journey, offered each spring. The sessions aim to re-introduce and re-familiarize candidates with the Catholic faith, particularly focusing on the Sacrament of Confirmation. The program also includes topics on the Church, living a sacramental life, and moral living. After attending all five sessions, Adult Confirmation will be celebrated on Pentecost Sunday, a special day that marks the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

What You’ll Need
- Sponsor: Each candidate must select a Sponsor who is an active, Confirmed Catholic. The Sponsor cannot be a parent, spouse, or future spouse. If the Sponsor is married, they must be married in the Church. The Sponsor will accompany the candidate throughout the preparation process, attending both Mass each week and the preparation sessions together.
- Choose a Saint: Each candidate will choose a Saint whose name they would like to be confirmed under, adding a personal and meaningful connection to their faith journey.
This preparation allows adult Catholics to deepen their faith, experience the full grace of the Holy Spirit, and complete their journey of Christian Initiation through the Sacrament of Confirmation.
