Prayer

Prayer ministries are a vital force within Saints Simon and Jude. Through the power of prayer, we lift one another, seek healing, find strength, evoke wisdom and experience the presence of God in our lives. Jesus Himself taught us the importance of praying together, assuring us that “where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matthew 18:20). Whether through intercessory prayer, prayer groups, or individual petitions, our prayer ministries create a spiritual foundation that transforms hearts, deepens faith, and invites God’s grace into every aspect of our lives.

Adoration

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him, Christ the Lord!

4th Wednesday of the Month from 9:15am to 8:45pm

Adoration is a powerful opportunity to be in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. In the stillness of Adoration, we can quiet our hearts, deepen our relationship with God, and listen for His voice. Spending time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament allows us to grow in faith, receive His peace, and offer our prayers and intentions directly to Him. As Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). In Adoration, we find strength, healing, and the grace to live out our Catholic faith more fully.

What do people do in Adoration?

  • Pray the Psalms, the Liturgy of the Hours, or the Jesus Prayer
  • Meditate on a Bible verse
  • Speak to Jesus and listen for a response
  • Sit in silence and be with Jesus

Centering Prayer

All Are Welcome to This Contemplative Prayer Practice

2nd & 4th Monday of the Month: 7:00-8:00 pm (Franciscan Rooms)

Tuesdays: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (via Zoom)

Wednesdays: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Franciscan Rooms)

Centering Prayer is a meditative form of prayer that deepens our relationship with God by fostering inner stillness and openness to His presence. Rooted in ancient Christian tradition and inspired by the teachings of early Church fathers, this prayer practice invites us to quiet our hearts and simply rest in God’s love.

Through Centering Prayer, we surrender distractions and immerse ourselves in sacred Scripture, meaningful verses, or spiritual reflections, allowing God’s presence to transform us from within. This prayer cultivates a deep interior silence, leading to greater spiritual attentiveness, inner peace, and a renewed capacity to live out Christ’s love in our daily lives.

Please join us as we embrace the invitation of Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.”

Parking Lot Prayer

Reaching Beyond the Church Walls

Every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

The Parking Lot Prayer Ministry at Saints Simon and Jude brings prayer beyond the church walls and into the everyday lives of our community. This unique ministry creates a sacred space where people can receive prayer in a welcoming, accessible, and compassionate setting—right where they are. Whether someone is facing challenges, seeking comfort, or simply needing a moment of spiritual connection, the Parking Lot Prayer Ministry offers a visible reminder that God’s love and grace are always within reach. By fostering a spirit of faith, hope, and community outside of traditional church settings, this ministry embodies Saints Simon and Jude mission to live in hope as Jesus’ disciples.

Rosary

Monday-Saturday at 9:00am after the 8:15am Mass in the Church

The Rosary leads us through the mysteries of Christ’s life, inviting us to meditate on His birth, ministry, passion, and resurrection.

Praying the Rosary strengthens our faith, brings peace, and provides spiritual protection. It is a weapon against temptation, a source of comfort in suffering, and a path to deeper contemplation of God’s will. Mary herself urged us to pray the Rosary, promising graces and intercession for those who do. As St. Padre Pio said, “The Rosary is the weapon for these times.”

Whether you are a lifelong devotee or new to the Rosary, all are welcome to join us in prayer. Let us come together as a faith community, lifting our hearts to God and entrusting our needs to Our Lady.
