SUMMARY:Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for Mass on December 8th as we celebrate the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary\, a Holy Day of Obligation in the Church. On this feast\, we honor Mary’s unique grace of being conceived without original sin\, preparing her to become the mother of our Savior. Mass will be offered at 8:15am and 7:00pm. \n\n\n\nWe also invite all women to gather in our newly remodeled prayer garden at 6:30pm to pray the rosary before the evening Mass\, as we prepare our hearts during this season of Advent. Together\, we strive to model the virtues of our Blessed Mother\, including her faith\, humility\, and openness to God’s will\, as we await the coming of Christ.

DESCRIPTION:The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a truly beautiful gift\, especially during Advent\, as we prepare our hearts to welcome our Savior\, Christ our Lord. In this season of hope and expectation\, we are invited to “let every heart prepare Him room” by seeking God’s mercy\, peace\, and healing. Our deanery offers several Advent Penance Services to help us enter more deeply into this sacred preparation\, and we encourage you to attend the Penance Service with your Saints Simon and Jude community on December 16 at 7:00pm.  \n\n\n\nAdditional opportunities for confession include:  \n\n\n\nSt. Bonaventure – December 9\, 7:00pm  \n\n\n\nHoly Spirit – December 10\, 7:00pm  \n\n\n\nSt. Mary by the Sea – December 15\, 7:00pm  \n\n\n\nSt. Joachim – December 17\, 7:00pm  \n\n\n\nSt. John the Baptist – December 22\, 7:00pm \n\n\n\nMay these moments of grace help us draw closer to the Lord as Christmas approaches.

SUMMARY:Baptism Prep Class
DESCRIPTION:Baptism is the formal way in which we welcome families and infants (ages 0-6) into our Catholic-Christian community. It marks the beginning of a sacramental faith journey for the child and is an important celebration for the family. For both parents and Godparents\, preparing for Baptism is an opportunity to renew and deepen their own faith journey. It is also a special moment for our parish community to welcome new members into the life of the Church.  \n\n\n\nFirst Steps to Baptism \n\n\n\n\nContact the Coordinator of OCIA/BaptismReach out to Denise Quackenbush at dquackenbush@ssj.org to schedule a brief consultation to begin the registration process. \n\n\n\nComplete the Registration Form Fill out the Baptism Registration Form and return it to the Parish Office along with your child’s Birth Certificate. If you are not already a registered family at Saints Simon & Jude\, please complete the Parish Registration Form as well. \n\n\n\nRegister for a Baptism Preparation Class Both parents and Godparents are required to participate in the Baptism Preparation Class.\n\n\n\n\nWe look forward to celebrating this sacred moment with your family and welcoming your child into the Catholic faith!

DESCRIPTION:Youth Nights are a fantastic way to build a Catholic community\, offering middle school kids a unique opportunity to grow in their faith while having fun and building lasting friendships. These events foster a sense of belonging and encourage personal and spiritual growth during a crucial stage of their development.  \n\n\n\nYouth Nights are held approximately every third Friday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. You don’t need to be in Middle School Faith Formation or even be Catholic to join—everyone is welcome!
