Elementary Faith Formation (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)

“Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. They bear witness to this responsibility first by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, fidelity, and disinterested service are the rule. The home is well suited for education in the virtues.”
-    Catechism of the Catholic Church # 2223

Welcome to Sts. Simon and Jude Faith Formation!

Faith formation classes are designed to help your child grow in the love of Christ. The faith formation classes are a time for your child to learn about the Catholic faith in a nurturing and supportive environment. Through continuously developing a relationship with Christ, children learn to become life long disciples.

Classes will be led by a faith-filled Catechist and will be separated by grade level (Kindergarten to 5th grade). Classes will meet approximately every other week starting October 7th running through May 27th (13 classes in total). The number of classes per month is determined by major holidays and parish events. There will also be at-home lessons that will need to be completed prior to the next in-person class. These at-home lessons are an integral part of the faith development of your child(ren).

Online classes will be asynchronous and found on the new faith formation online portal. Lessons will be easily followed through a slide deck with links to readings, activities, and videos provided. There will be approximately four lessons to complete each month.
Sts. Simon & Jude will have two class options for the 2020/21 school year: IN-PERSON or ONLINE.
