Sts. Simon & Jude Youth Ministry provides a place where, a Christian teen can simply "be." The youth can spend time with their peers through building friendships and growing in their Catholic faith.
Vision:
Sts. Simon & Jude Youth Ministry strives to teach the Catholic faith, nurture spirituality and promote service to others.
Goals of Youth Ministry:
- Foster the spiritual growth in the sacramental life of the Church
(development of Catholic identity and understanding of the Eucharist). - Draw responsibile participation in the life of our parish community
(actively participate in the life of the Church). - Empowerment to become healthy, competent and caring disciples of Christ
(building on the Christian values of following Christ and serving others).
Youth News:
Congratulations! Sts. Simon & Jude had 96 teens receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and one teen who received Confirmation at Baptism received a blessing.
Year 1 Confirmation
- Parents/guardians follow up with your teen on any incomplete items for their completion of their first year of preparation.
Newly Confirmed Youth
- If you did not pick up your Confirmation Certificate after the ceremony please come by the Catechetical Center to pick it up.
- Stay connected with your peers at the parish, plan, and lead youth ministry events. Complete and return a Peer Ministry application to the Youth Minister’s office (In the Catechetical Center).
