Will You Walk With Us?
Every year Concern America, a non-profit organization, holds a five-mile "Walk Out of Poverty"
March 31, 2012, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fountain Valley, starting at 7:30 a.m.
The walk has two major goals:
- To accompany those who are materially poor as they walk out of poverty by raising funds to help theircommunities have access to necessary resources.
- To demonstrate to our local communities that we take seriously the challenge to end poverty in our world.
Concern America is an international development and refugee aid organization that provides long-term, community-based development and support to economically impoverished communities throughout the world. In fifteen countries on three continents, it is making a measurable difference in the lives of more than a million people in over a thousand communities through projects that:
- Reduce the number of life-threatening diseases
- Improve the supply of potable water
- Provide appropriate sanitation systems
- Provide local and lasting employment
- Provide public health systems
