Welcome Back, Alumni!
With fall upon us here at Sts. Simon & Jude School, we enjoy the comfort of getting “back in the routine” of our daily activities. Along with new friends, classes, teachers and even new uniform colors (YES, we now have beautiful yellow, gray and navy blue polos added to the uniform choices!) we also look forward to the Fall Festival!
Were you here when...
- The Student Government had a Chief of Police?
- Sister Virlee held her annual Halloween Parades?
- Mrs. Ellson was our crossing guard?
- Colman Hall did not exist and a school playground was there?
- The school was only 4th through 8th grades?
- Mrs. Thurston had her Arts & Crafts classes at lunchtime?
- Mrs. Mitchell had 1st grade sleep-overs and her love of frogs?
- The girls from St. Francis of Assisi wore light blue sweaters with huge patches on them?
- The basketball courts were out near the trees in the parking lot?
- Mrs. Tufo taught her social studies classes?
Ever wonder what your old classmates are doing? Would you like to keep in touch with what is happening at your school? Would you like the opportunity to attend school and alumni events? Join the Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic School Alumni Association and keep the connection. There are no dues. Just complete the questionnaire and fax it or mail it back to us. Also, if you are interested in being class secretary or would like to volunteer to serve on the Board of the Alumni Association, please let us know.
Yours truly,
Cynthia (Copeland) Daugherty, Class of '74
