Congratulations to all of the students who competed in the recent SSJ Chess Tournament and earned award trophies for their efforts! While I know very little about the game of chess, I do know that it is very competitive and requires a high level of critical thinking and strategic planning so that you are successful in restricting the moves of your opponent. I have also been told that the queen is the most powerful piece, and that I am NOT smarter than a chess player! (And I humbly agree.) We are very proud of the following “chess pros.”
