Yesterday

 

Sts. Simon & Jude School opened in 1967. Bishop McFarland donated $5,000 to establish the St. Simon & Jude Catholic School Endowment Fund in 1994. Funded through charitable gifts, the endowment’s purpose is to help the school become more self-sustaining and to provide resources for:

·         Financial assistance to those in need,

·         New facilities, equipment and programs,

·         Reduction of the parish subsidy,

·         Minimization of tuition increases, and

·         Faculty recruitment and retention

The endowment has grown to over $1,000,000, and has made distributions to the school of more than $100,000. The school has discretionary access to 5% of the funds for expenses or projects each year.

Celebrating Gifts for the Future

 

Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic School currently serves more than 640 students in grades K-8. The school is truly thankful for the gifts of time, talent and treasure from those who have supported the creation and development of the endowment and has erected a plaque in tribute to its most generous donors. As Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic School celebrates its 40th Anniversary, it asks for your prayers and your cheerful gift to the endowment to secure and strengthen its ability to provide outstanding Catholic education for the next 40 years and beyond.

 

Gifts from cash saving, installment pledges, securities, real estate, life insurance and bequests are all welcome. Restrictions on the investment of donations can be accommodated.
