| Opening Statement Sts Simon & Jude Pastoral Leaders have identified young adults as recent high school graduates, college students, or those entering the workforce. We support regular gatherings that are tailored to 18-24 year olds transitioning into adulthood. Staying Connected The goal is to keep young adults connected to their peers and to the life of the parish. We strive to create an environment for healthy friendships and partnerships to grow by hosting regular gatherings and participating in the liturgical life of the parish. This includes being ushers, lectors, or serving as Eucharistic ministers. An eNewsletter is sent out every month to keep you informed. Email Richard Ballesteros at rballesteros@ssj.org to be put on the distribution list. Nurturing Your Faith Our aspiration is to provide a safe place to listen and respond to the needs of each person as they make the transition into the "Real World." We hope to keep your spiritual life rooted in prayer as you continue to learn, understand, and appreciate the teachings of the Church. Serving Others Our ambition is to establish selfless, ongoing activities that serve through direct personal contact with the marginalized in order to learn to accept and respect all cultures, ethnicities, religions, race, backgrounds, and sexuality. Our Christian faith calls us to defend human dignity and to pursue a life of service modeled on Jesus' life. Young Adult Gatherings The events will be built around:
